The highly sporty, competitive slalom freeride sail with incredible forward pull - the S_PACE craves speed yet is easy to handle. It carries the racing genes of the WARP for unlimited power delivery, yet at the same time the handling is extremely simple for this class. The basis is the revolutionary 3 IN 1 DESIGN that Duotone has developed over a period of 3 years, which enables an unprecedented trimming range. Together with the three brand new HYPER CAM 2.0, the result is an enormously wide field of application: Adjusting the S_PACE trim for less or high wind conditions fundamentally changes the sail, making it possible to achieve maximum performance across all wind conditions!
The new S_PACE with the 3 IN 1 DESIGN is the perfect symbiosis of our most successful racing slalom and freeride sails: whether for V-Max, maximum acceleration or use as a sporty foil motor, the S_PACE is the most versatile camber sail on the market. With this sail, designer Kai Hopf combines the top performance of the WARP with a very balanced sailing behavior and a much wider field of application. This is achieved by a strongly reduced and almost straight forward line curve in the upper part. As a result, changes in the luff tension have a very large effect on the leech. A low downhaul tension results in a very tight retard, a high tension leads to a very pronounced loose fitting retard. The two extremely widely spaced MIN and MAX trim points are proof that the 3 IN 1 DESIGN covers an incredibly large wind range. On top, depending on the trim, the S_PACE shows a very different high or low end performance and sailing character. On MIN setting with tight tail, the supper is effective for pumping, accelerates very efficiently and feels incredibly light - ideal for foiling too. On MAX trim, however, the S_PACE feels very similar to the WARP, getting faster and faster with no limits. Three new length-adjustable HYPER CAMS 2.0 provide unique traction and profile stability and smooth rotation.
Particularly striking is the strongly conical forehead sheath in the AERO SLEEVE DESIGN 2.0. The width in the aerodynamically important boomfield allows an optimal transition from the "thick" mast leading edge to the "thin" sail box. At the top of the sail, however, the luff cover has remained relatively narrow to allow a quick water start. This is supported by the LUFF LIFT DESIGN of the WARP 20.20, which provides extra lift.
Especially for foiling: The S_PACE has a special clew corner to set the sail even more upright!
